MOTIVATION LETTER

Being able to participate in this program will allow me to enhance my knowledge, world vision, and most importantly my concern to civic engagement especially illiterate people and unwealthy society in some remote areas in Probolinggo. I perceive that Education is very important and beneficial for betterment in the future. As part of my contribution to my society, I certainly believe that my strategic position at some organizations as well as my abroad experience will directly benefit and inspire many of my societies in term of civic empowerment and development.

The opportunity to participate in this YSEALI Professional Fellowship program will be a pivotal testament for me and my society, especially those who actually concern civic empowerment. In order to succeed, we have to be willing to make the sacrifices to change, as I believe, “There is nothing impossible.” This motto inspires me to keep making the effort to reinforce my willingness to make the progressive changes.

As the chairman of research and studies division at pesantren (Islamic boarding school), I work with strategic role as one of decision makers in my pesantren (with 7.000 students from elementary to university level), so this program will equip me to empower and develop my society and my students who could not afford proper education services. The world society has to realize that what has happened should be a lesson for us that Life is to share solutions and to spread the benefits as much as possible to those in need.

NOTE: I think one of the important points in writing study plan/motivation letter/personal statement for your scholarship proposal is that how the benefits and knowledge sharing you will have experienced from your proposed country directly benefit your community and what contribution you may give in return to your country and scholarship organizer.
